A new network, set up for businesses that run on recommendations.

Geared Up Network Australia is a Victorian company based in Glen Iris, formed to help trade and service businesses find each other.

Why we exist

Most small businesses already know referrals work. Few have time to build them.

Ask a tradie where their best jobs come from and the answer is usually the same: someone they trust passed their name on.

The trouble is that those relationships tend to form by accident — a chance meeting on a site, a neighbour’s recommendation, a supplier who happens to mention someone. When you are flat out on the tools or running a small team, there is rarely time left over to go looking for the businesses you should know.

Geared Up Network Australia exists to do that part deliberately. We introduce businesses whose work fits together, bring people together locally so they can meet properly, and share the practical resources that make running a small operation easier.

The name says what we are after: businesses meshing like gears, each one turning the next.

How we work

Three things we hold to

  • Introductions with a reason

    We only connect two businesses when we can explain to both why the conversation is worth having.

  • Consent before contact

    Your details are passed to another business only when you have agreed to that specific introduction.

  • No hard sell

    Our get-togethers are for meeting people and swapping know-how, not for pitching at a captive room.

Where we are

Starting in Glen Iris, working with Australian businesses

We are based in Glen Iris, around Tooronga, in Melbourne’s inner east. Our registration is recent — the company’s ABN was issued in October 2026 — so we are building the network from the ground up, one introduction at a time.
